Privacy & control
Your commitment stays yours.
This policy explains the information GYMWKLY handles today, the optional services around it, and the choices available to you.
Effective August 26, 2026
Information we handle
GYMWKLY helps you set a weekly attendance target, plan visits, check in, and claim a lower future weekly renewal. In the current version, your Commitment progress and related app setup are stored locally on your iPhone. Deleting or reinstalling the app may remove that local information.
We do not use this website to collect a waitlist, account profile, payment information, or website analytics. Netlify hosts the site and may process standard request and security information needed to deliver it under Netlify’s own privacy policy. The iOS app’s optional services and subscription flow are described below.
Optional services
Automatic Arrival and Apple Maps
Automatic Arrival is optional. If you choose it while selecting a gym, GYMWKLY requests location permission so the app can try to recognize arrival at that selected gym. Manual Honor Check-in is equally eligible for rewards and does not require location permission. Location is a convenience, not attendance proof.
Apple Maps supplies gym search and map data in the selected-location flow. Apple and its system services may handle information under their own policies; this flow is not described as device-only.
Notifications
Notification permission is optional. If you allow it, GYMWKLY can use Apple’s notification system for planned-visit reminders. You can change notification access in iOS Settings.
Subscriptions and purchases
Apple handles subscription billing and payment processing. RevenueCat supports the app’s product, purchase, entitlement, and restore operations.
Subscription terms, cancellation, and billing are also governed by Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement and the purchase information shown by Apple.
Anonymous analytics is opt-in
Only if you choose to share anonymous analytics, GYMWKLY sends limited product-use events to PostHog using an anonymous installation ID. Analytics starts opted out. You can turn sharing off any time in the app’s Settings; turning it off stops new GYMWKLY analytics collection from that installation.
Sensitive Commitment details, gym details, schedules, and visit history are excluded from anonymous analytics. The policies of the services you choose to use are separate from GYMWKLY’s opt-in analytics.
Analytics may be retained for up to 12 months through vendor configuration or administrative deletion. The analytics service does not guarantee an exact deletion time for a request.
Your choices and deletion requests
- Use Manual Honor Check-in instead of Automatic Arrival; it is equally eligible for rewards and needs no location permission.
- Decline or later revoke location access and notifications in iOS Settings.
- Turn off Share anonymous analytics in GYMWKLY Settings. This controls future collection; it is not the same as deleting earlier events.
- To request deletion of anonymous analytics, email support@gymwkly.app with the anonymous installation ID copied by the app’s Request analytics deletion action in Settings. The app copies the ID and prepares the support email for you.
The current version does not store your Commitment history in a GYMWKLY account. Local app information may be lost when the app is deleted or reinstalled; Apple subscription access is handled separately and can be restored through the app.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the current app and website, including local-first storage for Commitment progress and opt-in analytics. No device, transmission, or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. Keep your iPhone and Apple account protected and use iOS privacy controls to manage permissions.
Third-party policies
Apple, Apple Maps, RevenueCat, and PostHog are separate services. Their own terms and privacy practices apply to the information they handle:
